(4) an inability to control one's self from engaging in the addictive behavior.
the "high"of gambling comes from the suspense of what the cards or dice will reveal, and the thrill of chasing losses.
many lives have been destroyed by gambling addiction. clearly, the compulsive gambler needs to undergo a rehabilitation program.
My boyfriend has the compulsive gambling disorder. He is still in denial. I didn't know until his friend told me because he has too much debt. I wanted to help him, but I don't know what to do. Even if I always tell him that I am here to listen, he doesn't tell me about his gambling addiction. He keeps on lying and borrowing money and playing in casino.
